from H. M. Ships in Harbour to pender wery assistance in their power to the unfortunate sufferers, and allowed Dr. Richard A. Moroll, Surgeon of the "Vigilant, who
volunteered his services, to reside at the
Civil Hospital as
long as necessary,
assist the Medical Staff.

8. Dr. Moroll rejoined his ship this
day, and informs
me that out of gohersons
the only European
injured, 82, including the only hert, Mr. Haggat, Engineer, have died. this number is certainly short of the mark, as many of the injured
were
removed after the explosion into boats by their friends.
4. A Coroner's Inquest has been held
to invretigate
te the cause of this lamentable accident, and have returned a verdict
